When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?

When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?  It's disrupting my service in watching WFSS (channel 8 - ABC) in my area.  Customers should not have to deal with the petty problems between Uverse and TEGNA.  Work it out or lose a long time subscriber.

I have been prevented from watching shows on CBS due to the Unprofessional manner in which the contract is being handled.  How much will my Cable bill be reduced this next month?  In this covid-19 phase we are staying at home and TV is the best form and the only of entertainment.  I'm being used as a pawn and Millions of others as these contract talks continue.  I need to be shown some respect and given a credit or reduction for the lack of service.

@ACrawfordx   It popped up on the opening page when I logged in.  If it's not there, you can call CS to inquire.

The inpasse between DirecTV/ATT & Tegna is beyond ridiculous and as mentioned here we are being used as mere pawns in a game in which we have no control.

We seem to be always on the losing side and neither party CARES.....

I am sure my situation is not unique.   Despite living just about 30 miles away from the largest city in geographical area in the USA I get crappy internet  (slow DSL speeds on a sunny day) for being a "rural community" and sketchy OTA digital signals.  Its Ironic because I used to live in a much more remote area of the country just about 30 miles away from the Canadian border in the middle of Montana and I had FIBER OPTIC internet speeds about 10 years ago!!!  My only option to receive  "free" TV is to pay $$$ for capricious service.

We get no advertisement fees....we generate their ability too advertise

We have no control of what channels we can see or not.... they decide when and if a channel is going to be "available".

We pay for the "service"   but get nothing but a bill in return and no answers.....

The isolation and inability to influence any change in this situation is only compounded by the current national crisis brought upon us by the COVID 19 pandemic.

The fact that these petulant corporate executives decided "this was a good time to engage in this confrontation"  only magnifies the extent of how little either party really cares about us!

I will not stop hunting for options and I will be abandoning these selfish (Edited per community guidelines)s as soon as possible.

I encourage everyone else to consider the same and do anything within your abilities to drive both of these inconsiderate corporations to the ground!

I have been without one of my major stations since the 1st of December. I called in for a “one time only” discount of $20 and was told that would apply immediately. It still isn’t showing up on my account. Is anyone else having this issue?

I’m thinking of changing my internet and tv providers because of this.

You are probably another victim of the spat between DirecTV and Tegna. Tegna is a remnant of Gannett and owns a number of local TV affiliates. If your NBC station is on the following list, that's the problem.  https://www.tegna.com/brands/  Our local NBC station is.

The situation results from pure greed on both sides. While our cost of living is increasing at about 2.5% a year or less, satellite and cable TV providers have been raising their rates about an average of about 15% annually for many years. At the same time, the content providers have been going crazy as well. We are all hostages because there is essentially a monopoly in both media verticals. As soon as streaming offers the kind of service that cable and satellite can provide, the air will go out of the balloon and the days of runaway gouging will be over.

I've been an uninterrupted Direct TV Subscriber since 1992. ( I have a 5 digit account number.) I've faithfully paid my bill on time every month for nearly the last 20 years. I'm paying an additional $9.13 every month for the Denver Channels and now I no longer have #9 or #20.

Please advise.

How can a company change customers outrageous costs for services and then deny local stations? Don’t tell me it’s the local station’s fault. I want my local stations back. I feel like I’m being held hostage and am powerless. I don’t have other options for TV where I live.

So Tegna trolls, answer me this. With Tegna reporting record revenue why can't they be reasonable with negotiations and let us little people have our local channels. This is sounding like highway robbery to me.

CBS is 75% of my household's TV viewing, and the negotiation with the TEGNA group is in it's second or third week. What plans are in place to credit affected accounts?

Hello --  I am timely paying customer. This is now the 2nd time in less than 2 years that I have had a channel interruption. This time, the issue appears to be between AT&T and Tegna (Channel 10 WBNS in the Columbus, OH area) -- Since this is a local station (not a cable station) there should never be any interruption. Therefore, I want to know if, for the period that this channel is locked out, whether us subscribers will be getting a credit on our billing -- it is apparent that you are not paying them since they are not providing anything, therefore, in turn, you should be doing the same to your customers.

IMHO, I believe that AT&T (or any carrier) should not continually bend to these demands.  The longer the stations are off the service, the more $ the stations are losing on advertising views.  It seems counterproductive.
It is unfortunate that we are missing the final episodes of Alex and Jeopardy on WTLV, our NBC affiliate, and antenna reception is poor because of our location.

I can't believe all this money I spend on uverse. One of my favorite shows is on NBC. If this station is not back on by January I will be getting rid of at&t.

What happens when your new provider doesn't want to raise their rates unnecessarily?

www.peacocktv.com is free and has all your NBC shows.
