Where is the Hallmark Channel?

I am new to At&t U verus. I was told when I signed up the Hallmark Channel was available.  It took me a week to finally realize you don't have it. Very misleading.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Well, I'm sure it'll return sooner or later.

When I came to U-Verse many years ago, I looked at the lineup and knew what I'd be getting. Am I better than people that don't research a provider? Of course not...but I'm sure we'd all look at school districts, crime, tax rates, and other things before blindly moving to a new city.

I love how people make threats on this forum. Internet tough guys Smiley Happy  Most of the time, they make threats to leave, but never do. You will still see them posting their unhappiness and threats a year from now.

We switched from Florida's Brighthouse to Uverse because of the great first-year savings. Because they do not carry Hallmark, we will be switching back at the end of the year term.

The Hallmark channels have been  gone from the U-Verse lineup since September 1, 2010. You should have checked for their presence before you signed a one year contract with U-Verse if those channels are that important to you.

We knew at time of sign up. My wife thought she would not miss it so much. With the holiday season coming up, she is not happy that she will miss the new Hallmark holiday season movies coming out. So, if after the promotion period, the monthly price becomes comparible to the local competitor, it will make sense for us to switch back.

@Jaames - If one channel is a deal breaker, you are more than welcome to do what you need to do.  Please understand that Hallmark is not the only game in town when it comes to Holiday movies.  My wife (who misses both channels), still managed to record so many that it took her until March to watch them all.  In fact, there is a website that lists most Holiday movies and if last year is any barometer, only about one in four Holiday movies were on Hallmark or HMC.

@Jaames: U-Verse has so much to offer on beyond what the Hallmark channels have. You never know what may happen. You could switch providers, and then a month or so after, Hallmark could return to U-Verse. You never know.

ATT needs to resolve issues with Hallmark Channel.  Lots of good programming coming up in Fall, and we are missing out.  Make the channel an option on its own, and let us choose whether or not we pay.

We are subscribers to U-Verse just like you. There is nothing any of us can do. Make your channel request here:

Thank you for your input.

When I signed up to U-verse 2 or so years ago, the first thing my bride asked me was where was the Hallmark Channel? We had it on Direct TV. I called and talked to a representative at Uverse and they said Hallmark was asking too much $$ for thier programming. Ok, but my wife LIKES the Hallmark Channel, so I asked said rep to put us down for getting the Hallmark Channel as a customer request.

A year or so goes by and ATT buys Direct TV that has the Hallmark Channel and still no Hallmark on Uverse. Now I know that just because one Company buys another company that has a license to broadcast a particular product doesnt mean it can broadcast that product on two networks. But if you buy the Company that has the license and you have enough customers wanting that license on your other company than why not get it too? Then my bride would stop complaining about not having the Hallmark Channel and I could move on to a lesser number of complaints.

Before someone says,"get rid of the bride" let me say we have been marrried 41 years, so thats not gonna happen.Just saying.

Darn them Lawyers:-)!

If I was to liken U-verse to a Deli, I would say they have a fine menu. I have U450 plus HD so we have lots to pick from, but my bride and I like Pastrami sandwichs. Not having the Hallmark Channel is like not having mustard and the pickle on the side with the sandwich. You can eat it but it's not as good as the sandwich WITH the mustard & pickle. We've been hankerin' for a Pastrami Sandwich since we entered your "Deli". Please put it on the Menu!
