Where is the Hallmark Channel?

Hi @Cookield - Understand.  You have to do, what you have to do.  I am very hopeful that the channels will return and maybe there is still hope for this year.  Good luck and hope for you that your new provider does not run into a similar contract dispute.

The Hall mark Cannel disappeared shortly after I switched to Uverse in February 2010. I am really disappointed.  When I ask anybody they always say "They're working on it." I won't take that as an answer anymore.  They can say it's too expensive.  I don'y buy that either - They have introduced a new sports package - you can't tell me that doesn't cost a few dollars. I know Lifetime offers lots of Christmas movies - but what about the rest of the year.  Most of their movies deal with battered women, kidnapped children, etc, etc, etc,  Oxygen isn't much better.  Even the Lifetime Movie Channel seems to deal with unrequited love stories, or oppressed women.  Hallmark offers wholesome movies for the whole family. plus other programming that is classic and entertaining.  I'm not going to leave uverse - I have been with it too long - AT&T all my 65 years in one way or another.  But I won't recommend it to anyone. I will just stay a disappointed consumer and keep hoping they will bring it back.

I don't think many stations show Christmas movies, outside of the Holiday season.

I agree with everyone that wants the Hallmark channels back on U-Verse I too was told by a sales person twice that the U-verse had the hallmark channel and when I questioned them about the channel lineup the sales person then told me that they were getting the channelback real soon so I signed up ok so now no Hallmark none of my holiday movies, none of the wholesome family movies I love throughout the year. I do not like lifetime it is too depressing and violent, I don't watch starz, showtime or any of those channels they have either violence I may just chuck cable altogether and get a digital box and antenna and watch the free channels, but that's just my feelings. I will be checking back next month to see what type of holiday movies and shows are going to be offered or I will tell my daughters that if they want to keep u-verse they can pay for their tv and I will get comcast back for me.

Whilst I understand the problems encountered by companies trying to negotiate programming contracts, I cannot believe the problem is directly affecting one of the channels I watch more than most.  Expecially with the Christmas season closing in, it bothers me that I will not be able to enjoy the wide array of quality programming that last year brought so much enjoyment to my holiday season.  Please. please, please try and get the situation resolved quickly.

@Ian__B It's really not upto ATT, Crown Media will  not come down in their overpriced request that ATT pay/user.  It's as simple as that, might as well contact Crown Media and tell them you want it on Uverse as it's been gone 3-4 years now.

Has anyone ever contacted Crown Media Holdings, Inc., was able to get an explanation, and then came back here with a report?

Why can't we get the Hallmark channel? How many more cooking shows do we need ,or reality shows, or stupid shows like naked and buying houses, or naked an afraid {who in their right mind watches this junk}. or fat guys in the woods, or divas, or housewives, and many more. Yes, some of the shows on  the Hallmark Channel are a little hokey, but at least families can watch them. I should not have to pay for garbage.

See...herein lies the problem:  I LOVE reality shows....LOVE cooking shows...LOVE Naked & Afraid...divas/housewives/naked fat guys not so much.  And to be totally honest, I couldn't care less about Hallmark Channel. I can't stomach all that mushy, tie-everything-up-with-a-bow stuff.  Makes me want to vomit.

Then contact Crown Media and tell them to stop trying to gouge ATT in excessive fees/user for the channel's past viewership levels.

How do we get in touch with corporate, to complain about not having the Hallmark Channel? You say look at the channel line up to find family entertainment, but there is alot out there. But there is alot of trash, like naked and afraid, buying houses naked, and so on. Also how many house wives do we need, or divas, or storage shows, or fat guys in the woods. These shows are all garbage, and I'm paying for them. I like at&t internet, phone, price, service, but not the channel line up.
