Where is the Hallmark Channel?

I am new to At&t U verus. I was told when I signed up the Hallmark Channel was available.  It took me a week to finally realize you don't have it. Very misleading.

I was unhappy to learn that youdo not have Hallmark. I am new and doing the trial. I think I will going back to my Directv as Hallmark is one of my favorites. especially at holiday times and the original series that they have. Its too bad because I was just getting use to Uverse, There is a good chance will not be continuing. However if you bring it back I may stay.

The Hallmark channels have been gone since September 1,2010. At this time, there is not any definite date when and if it will be brought back. No one one this forum can give you any further information.

However, I was told that the retention department employees were sent an email over a month ago stating that talks between AT&T and Crown Media, the owners of the Hallmark channels, have resumed. What the outcome will be is anyone's guess.

If you should decide to go back to DirectTV, then you will find the same negative reasons that caused you to leave that provider in the first place to sign up with U-Verse.

As we always say on this forum, "you should have checked for the availibility of the Hallmark channels before you signed up for U-Verse".

I see the comments about Hallmark channel being dropped 4 years ago. I love this channel and every other carrier has it. I think those of us that want this channel on ATT Uverse should keep pushing for it. How? Well I am not sure but what about a petition? This should not be something that is over and done with and ATT will never try again to negotiate. I know lots of people who love this channel and they all have another carrier! Christmas time is especailly nice to have this channel as it has the best family movies. Feel good movies that we all need to experience. My husband and I have had ATT Uverse for about 3 years. We went away for a weekend and they had the Hallmark channel and I never knew how much I missed it. We do not want to change carriers since we have everthing with ATT but this has had us talking about it. Any suggestions on what can be done to get this back in the line up???

Request it here:

Only thing you can really do, even though Greater Media has to give for ATT to get back the Hallmark channels.  They want way too much per user for the small, but vocal, viewership when it was here. 😉

Thanks but I have already done that too. Trying to address this in as many different ways as possible.

Petitions have been suggested for other U-Verse situations in the past. Nothing ever came of them. Petitions, threats to leave U-Verse, postings on Facebook, etc, are not going to help.  AT&T is fully aware of the desire by a lot of subscribers for the Hallmark channels.

However, the excellent growth of U-Verse indicates that the lack of the Hallmark channels is not a hinderance to it's growth in the number of subscribers. I would safely say that most U-Verse subscribers do not care one way or the other if the Hallmark channels are present or not in the channel lineup.

If you had read any of the previous posts above yours, you would have read that the retention department employees were sent an email over a month ago stating that talks between AT&T and Crown Media, the owners of the Hallmark channels, have resumed. If there are really negotiations going on at this time, then, perhaps, we will see the return of the Hallmark channels.

U-Verse must have something against Christmas, lol.  Most of the movies found here are on Hallmark or UPTv.  U-Verse carries neither.  This is what Up says about U-Verse:

UP is not available on AT&T U-Verse at this time. Please click below to request that UP be added to your channel line-up.

ATT Uverse has not had Hallmark for over 4 years (9/2010).  You were not watching it on ATT Uverse or if you were, that's one magic TV.  Smiley Frustrated

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Skeeter: If there was ever a fake post on this forum, this one from shandi923 is obvious. I hope he or she comes back to explain how they were able to watch the Hallmark Channel a few days ago. Can one buy those magic televisions at Best Buy? Maybe Amazon or WalMart have them.

Maybe shandi923 can tell us about the hockey highlights on the NHL Network from a few days ago.

With so much talk about Hallmark Uverse would make a lot of its' customers happy by adding Hallmark. They could add it to U450.

I must say the same people come out to ridicule and belittle people when they come to post about their favorite channel. Alittle more comapssion is needed.

How would you feel if your favorite such as CNN or ESPN were dropped?

Unfortunately, Hallmark's parent (Crown Media) would most likely never agree to that.  AT&T would most likely agree with that.  As package placement goes, the content providers want it everywhere for the most money, while the "cable" companies want to pay the least and put them as high as possible.

Yeah there are some jokers on here that do just that.  When (if?) the channels return, who are they going to haraunge and belittle?  Those who want the NHL channel?
