Where is the Hallmark Channel?
I am new to At&t U verus. I was told when I signed up the Hallmark Channel was available. It took me a week to finally realize you don't have it. Very misleading.

The topic is not closed. Posters can still hit the "REPLY" button and post. When the "REPLY" button is gone, that indicates that the topic is closed.
You can plea and demand and write in all CAPITALS, but nothing will happen until AT&T and Crown Media (the owner of the Hallmark channels) come to an agreement.
Who knows. One day you may turn on the television, and they will be back. Do not be so quick to switch providers.

Hey @dwinth , I think what happened to @gofinsc is that he started yet another new thread on Hallmark and their single post was closed and moved into this one. Yes @gofinsc - this subject is open. Post away. I did message Crown Media (Hallmarrk's owners) about the impasse and they seem to imply that the ball was in their court (they said "we have some things to work out").

@dhascall : What Crown Media told you sounds very encouraging. It sounds like both parties are very close.

We were told the same thing... NEVER would have switched had I been non trusting and double checked. Also see that UP is not here either. Apparently the lawyers or whomever handles the dealings with these 3rd party channels don't really know how to deal if it has been gone since 2010.
If nothing happens this year, then we will be moving back to DISH! Want that wholesome viewing found on Hallmark.

Who told you "the same thing", and what is "the same thing"? I assume "the same thing" is that U-Verse had the Hallmark channels. Was it an in-store salesperson, a door-to-door salesperson, or a telephone sales person who worked directly for AT&T?
If it was a door-to-door sales person, you sign up at your own risk. They are not employees of AT&T. They will say anything just to make a sale. If it was one of the other two categories, then they could have just been uninformed. I have done the Hallmark test at several AT&T stores just to see what the salesperson would say when I askied if U-Verse had the Hallmark channels. Half the time, they say, "Yes".
In response to your problem with not getting UPTv, U-Verse does not provide sub-channels at this time with a few exceptions such as MeTV in some of the markets where U-Verse is present.
As far as wholsome viewing, you cannot beat the fine programming that one can find on Cinemax late at night. Christine Nguyen is one of the best film stars that I have ever seen.

Hi @TheFlaGang . My opinion on contract negotiators is different than yours. U-Verse's contract folks apparently are doing very well, thank you. If not, there would be more than two major channels missing (Hallmark and NHL). You see, way back in 2010, U-Verse had a lot smaller subscriber base. Hallmark wanted double per subscriber more than what AT&T was paying. It was just after they hired Martha Stewart and they were bleeding cash. AT&T had been bullied on contract deals in the past, so they took a stand and so did Hallmark's owners. AT&T did offer to pay the current rate during negotiations and Crown media (Hallmark's owners) said "Nope, pay up sucka!" So they went dark. It put the other channel owners on notice that AT&T was not a patsy. I do applaud that bullish approach but it's time to settle. Dish, Direct and Time Warner lose channels every few months - not AT&T.

My suggestion is this: If Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are important enough for you to consider ending your subscription to AT&T U-verse … end your subscription to AT&T U-verse.
If you're staying with AT&T U-verse, while continuing to feel upset that AT&T U-verse isn't carrying Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (and hasn't done so in more than four years!), then you have to recognize that you are responsible when you choose to continue your situation.
I know it sounds cold. But, it is necessary. There are more expensive, and more important, matters than changing a subscription between available cable-television operators. This means that this should not be the most important issue in anyone's life. If you, and/or your spouse, are this upset … make the change that will solve the issue for you [both] personally.
