Where is the Hallmark Channel?

I am new to At&t U verus. I was told when I signed up the Hallmark Channel was available.  It took me a week to finally realize you don't have it. Very misleading.

What is with the last sentence of your post supposed to mean? Is there something the matter with being a woman and a Christian? I am not trying to start something but that irritated me.

I do not think he meant anything negative by that.

I agree. I just think he meant that a lot of Christian women enjoy watching the Hallmark Channel, no more.

I think AT&T/DirecTV is going to happen. If it turns out that it does…this would have subscribers wanting to know how they will be affected. When it comes to programming, people can speculate.

What I think will happen, regarding Hallmark Channel/Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (formerly named Hallmark Movie Channel), is this: Either AT&T U-verse's or DirecTV's current status with carriage of the programming will win out.

I believe this would put the burden on Crown Media Inc. AT&T U-verse ranks as No. 5 and DirecTV ranks as No. 2 for cable television subscriptions nationwide.

We can, if we want, guess who needs who more. (I think Crown Media Inc. needs being made available on AT&T/DirecTV more than AT&T/DirecTV needs to have Hallmark brands in the lineup.) So, this may be worth consideration.

Well  I got an email today at 12:45 p.m. advising me that U-Verse had come available in my neighborhood.

Once I looked at the channel line up and saw that U-Verse did not have the Hallmark channel that pretty much stopped us from moving from comcast to U-Verse. I am so ready to get away from comcast but still can't because U-Verse and Hallmark can't come to terms and the channel remains unavailable.

Yea it is only one channel, but when that is one of the main channels my family watches it is hard to move away from a cable network that has it to one that does not.  Even if their price is cheaper.

AT&T is there any plans to get the Hallmark channel back in the near future?

I'm switching to Uverse next week and I am well aware that they do not have the Hallmark channel. I loved it as much as the next fan, but I've been having serious outage issues with Charter cable. Having a working home phone and internet is more important to me.

You can buy Hallmark movies and series from Walmart (They have the 12 new Christmas movies on dvd during the season so you won't necessarily miss out on the new programming there), Amazon (They have the new TV series like When Calls the Heart, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, Good Witch and Cedar Cove available within days of airing with a Season Pass), half.com/ebay is always an option for older Hallmark Movies and some things are even available to buy on Youtube. Home and Family has show highlights on Hallmarkchannel.com, so you won't miss out on that either. Uverse carries ABC Family and that has The Middle like Hallmark does...

If you get the right setup in your living room, you can have your own commercial free Hallmark channel. I can't find the programming on Netflix or Hulu though (I'm thinking Crown Media is very greedy)...but there are ways I can get the programming I want so I made the sacrifice. Fiber Optic service is better anyway.

I'd like to see this entire thread archived.  Kinda like cleaning out your closet and getting rid of all the clothes that you wore when you were 18.  You never want to see them again!

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

It is over! The two Hallmark channels will be back as of tomorrow, 7/23/15. I hope the moderators go through the forum and clean it up a bit by deleting all of the hundreds of Hallmark threads created since August, 2010.

More information about the Hallmark Channel here.

On the other hand, will any posts made by a poster disappear under his profile if a thread is deleted?

I do not know if that is feasible, but it is just a thought.

Depending on how the back-end stuff works, what they *should* do is archive these threads into a forum that regular people can't see. This would keep post counts and whatnot intact while not messing up the database while giving us a "cleaner" forum.
