WSB tv (ABC)
What is going on with the renewal of WSB channel 2 in Atlanta, also ABC. I understand we may lose this channel in a day or so, I sincerly hope this is resolved. I want to keep this channel as a part of my programming package. This is my primary local and World news channel. I hope this is resolved.

I knew this was coming but did not think it would actually happen. I imagine alot of people will be bailing from AT&T and qjuite honestly can't blame them. I've been loyal to AT&T for years. It's a shame they can't return that loyalty. I will give them a couple of hours, then I will strongly consider leaving them as well. This is no excuse for what has happened. What has happened is totally inexcusable!!! I can see people leaving AT&T in droves. As one person mentioned, they don't have a problem raising your rates at all. But to actually lose channels. Totally unacceptabe!!! AT&T has committed a grave error.

I'm with you and I blame both the networks and DirecTV for being greedy. DirecTV has so many "add-on" fees for anything and everything they can possibly think of it has become ridiculous. I'm also tired of losing a signal every time we have a rain storm which in the summer here in Florida is pretty much a daily occurance.
As for the networks I don't see a way out for them in the future. Who actually watches commercials anymore? I purposely record all the programs I want to see and fast forward through commercials. Even live sporting events I will either record them and begin watching them an hour or so later and fast forward through the commercials. just have to remember to stay off the internet so you don't accidentaly see a spoiler score.
I'm one of the early customers of DirecTV and have been a customer since they began. I have not looked in a long time at cable TV but I get my high speed internet from the cable company so I'm going to do some serious research into what cable TV is offering these days. For me, it's not all about price but has more to do with quality of picture, choices and dependabiity. I know that cable has the same disputes with networks at contract renewal time but I'm really tired of DirecTV bulls$$ fees and extremely unreliable and annoying technical and general customer support.

You can still get WSBTV on the internet. May not be as convenient, but it works.

Be sure to get your AT&T bill adjusted for the lack of service you've paid for in advance. You have to ask for the rebate for lack of service.

If you're using DirecTV (or any satelite service, for that matter), you're vulnerable to weather conditions. If you have underground cable service, you're less susceptible to bad weather....unless you have ground shifting, like sinkholes.
