YES Network on U-Verse in Nashville, TN
I switched from DirecTV to U-Verse because I moved to an apartment complex. I was led to believe with that the sports package in my U-Verse programming would have YES Network, and was very disappointed to see that it states " you do not subscribe to this channel". I have called and spoken with multiple representatives and one finally told me that it even though it in listed in the program guide that it simply is not available on U-Verse programming. I was also very disappointed when I was told that U-Verse does not offer the MLB Package during baseball season. Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue? I am completely exasperated as I now can not even switch back to DirecTV because there are too many trees behind my apartment. Thanks in advance for any helpful information on this topic.

The ONLY way to get out-of-market regional channels is to subscribe to the HD Premium Tier which is $7/mo in addition to the $10/mo HD tier. These channels used to be available via the Sports Tier in SD. A number of years ago, they went to the HD Premium Tier.
Downside: More expensive.
Upside: HD.
As far as live games go, they will be blacked out, per league policy. For about $40, you can buy a Roku Streaming Stick which plugs into your HDMI port. You can then subscribe to MLB.TV which would get you regionally televised games not available in your city. (Other leagues have similar online packages. The only one available to U-Verse is the NBA package.)

YES Network is available throughout New York State and Connecticut and in parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania on cable, DirecTV and on the AT&T U-Verse and Verizon FiOS television services. The network is also available nationally on DirecTV, U-Verse, FiOS and on select cable systems.
YES National subscribers must also purchase Major League Baseball's Extra Innings package or the NBA's League Pass to watch live game telecasts of the New York Yankees or Brooklyn Nets.
Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Yes Network is also included in the HD Premium Tier which is $7 per month.
