Why do i need to restart my DVR every time i loose power?

Why do I have to restart my DVR and my wifi receiver every time I loose power? This past Friday I lost power for about 10-15mins and all my shows that I have scheduled to be recorded for 5 days were not recorded because of the dvr needing to be restarted.

It does not work that way.... The U-verse app does not help.... If the DVR has to be restarted nothing is recorded even if the U-verse app show the tv show should be recorded. And if the DVR is down you can not manage any shows that are recorded...in

If i am home and I loose power on the tv it says that the dvr has to be restarted. So I restart the DVR. When I go on vacation and nobody is home to restart the dvr. Then of course it doesn't record my shows.....so I either have to miss them or buy t

If I am home that is not a problem...but when I am out of town it becomes an issue
