Copy from Direct DVR to computer

I have an Eagles concert on my DVR that I'd like to save to my computer. If I connect my PC to the DVR with an HDMI cable and choose Play how do I record it on my PC?

You can record it through an HDMI capture card by utilizing OBS studio and recording the screen and audio. There are videos on YouTube showing this process.

Here’s a video to get you started (they use a Nintendo device instead of a DIRECTV DVR, but the process is the same):
