DIRECTV dropping OANN?

Don’t forget to call customer service and get to customer loyalty with your complaint and follow though in April if OAN is dropped. We all need to cancel service in the same month, that will send a message.

This has been in work for at least a year. The strategy finally was to infiltrate the board of directors with enough leftist leaning members to cancel OAN.

The Reuters link said the contract expires in EARLY April.

OAN is what is keeping me with DirecTV at this stage of the game.  I've been thinking about cancelling it for some time otherwise.  I'm lucky that my local cable provider carries it, and I will get back other channels I can't get on DTV anymore.  I'll also probably save $20 when it used to cost so much more to have a cable package with DVR that would match what I was getting with DTV.  Sad. 

Why is One America News cancelled and not CNN? CNN promotes false information without facts. Why do you silence one opinion and not opinions that have no basis in fact?

Why are the far left disinformation channels allowed to remain? Is Direct TV run by Communists or are they for the free flow of ideas and debate? I guess we got our answer.

Sirs, We Formally Request you to KEEP OAN News on your Channel Lineup. We Will Be Canceling our Service & Looking for an Alternative For Television, Internet & Phone if it is Removed.

I hate partisan politics more then most, but some can’t help but want to belong with a group of like minded people that lean right or left, truth, facts and a healthy democracy no matter; and would never agree that their side is wrong about something, truth facts and evidence be (Edited per community guidelines)ed. There is nothing more important than a healthy American democracy, for our country and our world. It’s scary that there are that many people who think one man’s ego is more important than there own country. If there were any proof of voting wrong doing it would be out, there are too many people in this country that care about truth, not politics and would not stand for it, no matter if they are right or left. People who can speak of their political opposites without using childish name calling and politics of hate. Using the law of our land and the truth. The mere fact that the rubbish that their so called attorneys said in court was laughed at and dismissed reveals the merits of their argument. Courts don’t put up with nonsense; with crappy speeches that can’t be backed up by facts and proof. The fact that you believe the speeches more than what you see in a court room says a lot.

As a customer of DIRECTV for many years, I am shocked and disappointed your executives would cave to the social pressure of the extreme Left minority.  OANN News Network provides news leaving it to the viewer for interpretation.

I, for one, find their presentation refreshing and enlightening.  It is up to each individual to assess the truth or non truth of information.  It should never be left up to ANY group demanding only information which conform to their ideology be heard.

Please reconsider your position.  I am convinced I am not the only subscriber who believes in the 1st Amendment.

darcy - I haven't tried Klowd.  I downloaded it to my Firestick but I believe you need to subscribe to get OAN ($4.95/mo. or something?)  I don't like streaming to begin with...probably just used to cable/DTV...but thought I'd look into it while I still have OAN on my DTV.  I'd still like to be able to DVR programs and I don't know the likelihood of being able to do that with streaming services.  Still looking.  

I did see that you can get OAN on the internet using USNewsOn (someone posted the link upthread) One America News Network - Watch OANN Live Streaming Free [HD] - USNewsON and I went on it and it is live, probably 60-90 secs behind DTV but who cares.  I am considering going back to my cable provider for service, since I already use them for internet - I'd just get a bundled package for my TV.  I am getting offers for Xfinity in my area and I was looking into that too, until I found out they don't have OAN.  I only started watching OAN after the rigged election (was using HLN prior, plus my local ABC affiliate) and now I can't live without it!  I wish I could; Newsmax is good but I don't want to give up OAN so it's a double-barrel middle finger to DTV come April, if not sooner!

The model10 box has hulu & netflix builtin and comes with HG antenna for local channels. The Klowd OAN pkg is $30/yr with 64 other channels.

I have Roku, FireTv, Amazon, AppleTV streaming boxes and can log into Vidgo.com and Klowd.com to give me more cable channels than I need except for locals. All I need now is to set up a patriot fiber internet provider  and phone service.

Just a note to say that if Direct TV cancels OAN, I will be cancelling Direct TV.  There is no excuse for this action.  I watch OAN every single day.  This is just sad because I have been a good customer for a long time, but I will not put up with this stupidness.

I totally agree with you and will be cancelling as well.  This is nothing but stupid and ridiculous for AT&T to stoop so low!
