DIRECTV dropping OANN?

How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN?  They do not lie!  The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives!  My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

To whom it may concern, I switched from Hulu after years because Directstream has the OAN channel. Please don't take down OAN. Thank you.

We have been customers for close to 12 years and are now investigating other options. We will not patronize any company that engages in censorship, no matter which side. This is pretty ironic really, considering what is allowed in the programming. When we dont like something, we just dont watch it.

I will cancel my Direct TV subscription if OAN is cancelled from programming.  A reason I have Direct TV is for watching OAN.  I will switch providers to Amazon Prime OAN app if OAN is cancelled.

Once OAN is canceled on Directv, I will cancel Directv. I hope many other subscribers will do the same.

Censorship is ruining our great country,  stand up and fight back.

We had a family discussion last night. Sounds like we're going to drop DirectTV sooner rather than later - might be this week.

Amen. Any (Edited per community guidelines) or independent who is a DirectTV customer should cancel their subscription. We must stand together and send a message that we are tired of being censored! This must end, and it should end with AT&T.
The management of DirectTV should be fired for incompetence just by alienating a large portion of their customer base.  What 'business school' did they go to? Maybe the same one as 'AOC' did! ....  NONE!!!

Please continue carrying OANN or I'll need to look elsewhere for a provider.

Yes, I caught in to the fact that they censor a’lib..eral’ and ‘cons…ervative’ just yesterday.  If they were censoring

to stay out of politics, one would thing they would choose different words as well as not cave to the demands of left leaning groups to cancel OANN because some people don’t like Trump.  Guess what, some people don’t like certain other politicians (fill in the blank) as well but love Trump.

The simple solution is to stop participating in the censorship of free speech.  If someone complains that they don’t like a particular channel, tell them they don’t have to watch it.  About half the country does not like news from CNN, NPR, or ABC and you don’t see them trying to cancel  / censor the channel…. Many like myself just don’t watch it or periodically check those channels we disagree with to see what the opponents are saying.

I’ve already canceled DirectTV as a result of their participation in the censorship of free speech which is against the principle values of America.  Action is more effective than a threat: CEOs of AT&T and DIRECTV will only be motivated to stop the madness when revenues drop to an extent where stock values and bonuses are effected.

Unfortunately, I’m betting not enough people are seeing this thread or know it exists.  It was convoluted to get to this thread as AT&T and Direct TV closed several threads like it that appeared first on google leaving only a vague pointer to this one.

Those of you not happy then leave. You like freedom, well there it is. Go for it! And those of you that think canceling is going to hurt AT&T and DirecTV TV, think again. They won't miss you too much. They have plenty of customers to go around and with AT&T Fiber growing more and more and the wireless numbers looking strong, they'll be just fine. This cancel culture stuff is not hurting too many companies regardless on which side you're on for grounds to not use a business anymore. Same thing for Publix Supermarkets recently with some relation to them funding Jan 6th. They're still operating and doing well. I'm using whatever business has what I like and at a good deal. This is also another form of freedom of choice.

Other than adding my personal opinion and preference on this forum that OAN remain a DirecTV network, what other actions can we take?

I indeed will drop DirecTV if they drop OAN.

Juniper, why do you keep responding in defense of ATT and Directv. This is a forum and all should be able to post their opinions without you coming back in defense of ATT and Directv. Are you sure you don't represent them? Good grief.

Yes. For this very reason we too are leaving DirecTV. It is foolish to continue to pay for a service that no longer delivers. We are but a drop in a bucket but the loss of revenue is AT&T's problem.
