Dropping channels from a bundle
Is the any way to drop channels from a DirecTV Stream bundle? Specifically, OAN. It is a problem for me to support an organization that routinely presents lies and untruths.

@Catskills_Dan I agree and labeled it as ‘Fake News’. OAN would have lied to California Supreme Court in the complaint if true. Highly unlikely when even Mr. Herring was surprised to hear the news on main stream media.

I just heard CNN+ is shutting down at the end of April for the lack of subscribers.
Maybe AT&T should have kept something that people actually wanted, like OANN.

@bcbsncjlj
And that was after dumping three hundred million dollars into it.
$300,000,000.00!
Great Scott!

@Catskills_Dan That is correct. And what many people do not realize is AT&T owns CNN and controls DIRECTV.
It would be nice to know what DIRECTV is paying for the new woke channels that they replaced OAN with. I wonder how much they are contributing to “CLEO TV “ and “TV One”. Those channels seem to suggest only one skin color is superior enough to appear on the airwaves they broadcast. I thought we as a country believed skin color did not matter.
TV one submission guidelines:
“TV One regularly looks for programming ideas that will resonate with our African American audience.”
About Cleo TV:
“Launched in January 2019, CLEO TV (stylized as CLEOTV) is an aspirational lifestyle and entertainment cable network targeting Millennial and Gen X women of color. It serves as a complement to TV One.”
As a former customer, I feel DirectTV is showing us that channels that support racism are more important than popular channels like OAN that promote truth and diversity.

I’m not sure how one labels people as a “crazy Maga Crowd” when trump got 74,222,958 votes in 2020: more than he got 2016. It’s the woke crowd that’s crazy… most of the left is scared by that group… parents seeing it first hand now.
That’s like calling most of the country crazy. He might have actually one if ballot trafficking did not occur…. It will be interesting to see what the results are from the official investigations which have started.

This is what you call crazy…. How could set policy to permit such a thing.

I have the following streaming devices: Roku Ultra, Tivo 4k, AmazonTV and like the older AmaTV one the best. I have subscriptions to OAN Live and KlowdTV giving me at least double coverage because OAN & Newsmax are on other services as well. KlowdTV has a jump back feature where prior OAN Live shows can be selected making a DVR moot.

Just to put some of my personal observations regarding DTV vs OTA and streaming.
When I was on DTV, I had 2 accounts. the monthly total was $163 a month (discounted rates as well). Now this came to $1956 a year.
Now I have a Tivo Edge OTA which cost me $200 one time charge. and I did a year subscription of $74 (with tax). I did the OANN subscription at $4.99 a month(59.88 a yr). Now my cost is only $133.88 a year. My Prime TV come with my Amazon Prime and it is not added so it is a even deal. Seems like I am saving over $1,800. a year alone. Now with my Over the Air channels I have all the major networks as well as allot more. I found MEtv, Bounce, H&I, Grit, ION and over 32 channels in a rural South Georgia. Not near any "Major" cities. With all the streaming shows, movies and channels I am getting more than DTV. Heck the FireTV and Firestick alone can beat it.
So for my personal opinion, the streaming options far exceeded DTV. The Tivo DVR has all the the DTV had and depending on the model exceeds what DTV charged for less.
I am an EX-DirecTV and AT&T customer. I dropped DTV because of two issues. 1. The nonrenewal of OANN and the extremes in WOKE programing. 2. The cost almost doubled for service.

I wish DirecTV Stream offered a 25 "Pick-Your-Own" channel subscription package like Spectrum and Verizon are offering.

How about they put together a package that does not include CNN and MSNBC? Let me guess, they’d find a way to call DIRECTV racist or a homophobe for that. DIRECTV lost a lot of customers for canceling OAN… keep attacking 50% of the country and there will be no DIRECTV left.
Seriously, stop imposing your will on free America. If you don’t like something, skip over it like other Americans have done for the last century.

Post above was to other threads… not sure why it got moved here.
Woke customers renewed the push for DIRECTV to cancel Newsmax and Fox next.

IF you take some time and look at all the streaming apps and OTA channels you may find you can get everything you are looking for, for a fraction of the DTV cost. Pluto TV, IMDb TV Tubi TV, VUDU TV, Xumo, PLEX, KlowdTV and add Prime TV.
I am an EX-DirecTV and AT&T customer. I dropped DTV because of two issues. 1. The nonrenewal of OANN and the extremes in WOKE programing. 2. The cost almost doubled for service. Consider your options and you may see you can have more for less away from DTV.

@SOH
We have KlowdTV too. Now we have all of the programming we used to watch on DTV. Between Klowd, FRNDLY and Epoch tv we paid ahead until May 2023 for under $300.00. Then you have the free ones too like Pluto.
I know, we could have done that before but DTV was convenient and we didn't need anything else.
