This is a public forum and we are just customers like you. First thing to do is call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and threaten to cancel if NewsMax isn’t reinstated. This will definitely higher the amount of people wanting the channel back.
Then, ( and I know this advice isn’t great), you’ll just have to wait it out and hope that newsmax and DIRECTV settle an agreement. Often, random channels pulled out of nowhere usually get resolved in a matter of a couple days. If it isn’t resolved at all, you can always cancel your DIRECTV service and move to another provider that offers newsmax as well as the other channels you watch.
As a note, for the time being, just so that you don’t complete miss your programming, you can get the NewsMax app on your streaming devices and phone and continue to watch it there free of charge. Just thought I’d lyk.
Newsmax, and, for that matter, OAN need to be back on DirectTV. It's quite a coincidence that it appears that only conservative news channels seem to have this money, fee problem. Amazingly, CNN and MSNBC never seem to have these problems. Don't these content providers ever demand high fees? I think not. Anyway, as a 22+ year customer of DirecTV, I will switch to Dish TV unless Newsmax is reinstated within the week.
Nothing is “free.” If you are a sat tv subscriber you are paying. If you stream, you pay. If you use a web browser, you pay. So what’s your point? By the way its stupid not stewpid. I’d. Go back to your mama’s basement.
I suspended my account today, I'll stop doing business with Directv next week. Bad enough AT&T hassles RFD-TV regularly and dropped One America News. Dropping Newsmax was the last straw.
We have decided to switch to another streaming service which won’t make decisions based on politics instead of business. Newsmax is one of a half dozen news channels which leans to the right. The left has dozens of news and mainstream media that is based on far left ideals. If you are looking to stop extreme views, why would MSNBC still be in the lineup?
May I offer some options; Look at a TIVO OTA system along with a Firestick will give you so much more FREE. I see OANN, NewsMax and all the rest FREE. I live in a deep southern rural area and still get over 35+ channels on a small antenna. I used the mounting for the "dish" for the mast and put up an channel master antenna. Now with all the streaming options I have a lot more options and all free. The TIVO OTA is a DVR to record all the shows going through the TIVO box and it also has a "skip" feature to bypass commercials. One TIVO box with the mini can be used throughout the house. As long as you have internet access you can get so much more free.

@schnarr
None of your bill was going towards that channel.
You can continue to watch via their website or app without paying.
