They mutually could not agree on a contract, so the channel was pulled by Newsmax, not DirecTV.

Fake news on that response! My understanding is the DTV wanted to stop paying Newmax anything (or change to very little) to carry them. They carry all the other left wing (and mainly unwatched stations), and meet their price. This is discrimination, and it will hurt DTV big time. I'm looking at alternatives, as I type this.

You certainly have alternatives, so pursue. It's not available with DTV now.
