Add/Remove Add-Ons
So, I wanted to remove some premium movie channels (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax). It was almost 11pm, after business hours. I noticed however it said on the Account Overview page "Manage Package & Equipment" so I clicked the link and it took me to a page where I could view my package. Under the heading "My Add-ons" I saw the movie channels listed and a link that said "Add or Remove Channels."
I thought, "Hey that's what I want to do!" so I clicked the link and it took me to a page that is called "Change Your Services." Under that there were subheadings, one of which was called "Premium and Movie Channels" so I opened that subheading and saw HBO, Showtime and Cinemax listed (among others). And next to each movie channel, was a blue link that said "Remove."
Since that has been my goal in this endeavor, I clicked Remove, expecting to REMOVE the channel. HOWEVER!! When I clicked Remove, instead of actually, you know, removing the channel... it threw up some dumb pop-up that said I had to call to remove the channel?!
WHY???? THIS IS NOT HOW A REMOVE BUTTON IS MEANT TO WORK!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A REMOVE BUTTON IF IT WON'T REMOVE THE THING YOU WANT REMOVED??? WHY EVEN HAVE A BUTTON THAT SAYS REMOVE??? WHY TRICK CUSTOMERS INTO THINKING THEY HAVE A SELF-SERVE ONLINE OPTION????
The whole POINT AND PURPOSE of a REMOVE Button/Link is to REMOVE THE THING!! IF YOU DON'T WANT CUSTOMERS TO SELF-SERVE, WHY EVEN GIVE US THE SUPPOSED OPTION?????
This is stupid. It needs to be fixed. Either let us self-serve online, OR DON'T MAKE IT LOOK LIKE WE HAVE A SELF-SERVE OPTION!!
