Cannot log in to DirecTV website
I have a DirecTV account. I was able to log in to DirecTV back in August. But I cannot log in anymore.
I tried logging in with my correct User ID and password. The login attempt fails and I see this message on my web browser:
CARE CODE: 201 [LU100]
1) I tried to reset my password. DirecTV website says that an email with the verification code is being sent to my email address. The website shows the correct email address linked to my account. However, I never received the email from DirecTV.
I checked my Spam folder and it is not in my Spam folder either.
I've tried this several times and I never received any of the verification email.
2) I called DirecTV support. However, the offshore support Dept. in the Philippines is unhelpful. They are just reading off a script and told me to reset my password. I explained to them that I already did this before calling them. Then they try to escalate me to the next level but I am put on hold for 30 minutes and I get re-routed back to another support person in the Philippines. And I have to re-explain the problem and they give me the same response (reset the password).
I've asked to be transferred to a support person in the US who could help me with this. They transfer me and put me on the queue and I have to wait another 30 minutes and I get re-routed to another support person in the Philippines. And again, this person is unable to solve my problem.
I called and was on the phone for *90* minutes! Just to fix this problem of not being able to log in.
DirecTV's customer support is unacceptable! Why can't a customer be transferred to a Level 2 customer support person who can fix my problems? The customer service engineers in the Philippines are useless - NONE of them could solve my problems.
I still cannot log in. Is there another way for me to get this problem fixed?

There was a specific way to access the right department by calling DIRECTV and saying ‘sign-in help’ to the robot. If no one there offers to assist or is not satisfactory, you can hang up and say ‘cancel’ to the robot this next time to be sent to the retention/loyalty department. There, a more experienced agent can help you regain access to your account. Be sure to threaten cancellation if the issue isn’t fixed. That way, the agent has a reason to get the issue resolved immediately.

I can't believe this problem can't be fixed in 10 minutes.
