Opt in at no additional cost for History, Lifetime and Vice channels
Received a post card that sent me to this web page (directv.com/channel-opt-in) in order to continue to receive service of History, Lifetime and Vice channels at no cost to me. But at this page I can't figure out how to do that. This is my request to OPT In.

@pmorganfaught , I don't know why their support reps would tell you that. Nobody here can opt in those channels for you. If calling isn't working, then go here .... https://directv.com/channel-opt-in

The website is hit or miss on working, you can call DTV to do it.

This is not an official channel to support. If you leave it at this, you will not have those channels. Either try the website again, or call DTV.

@pmorganfaught
This site will NOT get you the opt in. Please read this entire thread. You need to call DirecTV or use the opt in link. Hopefully it's not too late.

I’ve been on the phone with 4 people from DT! The last one told me to go here and click yes to opt in. I’m so disgusted. I told them I was contacting the FCC.

November of 2021 I received a postcard about opting into the A&E channels in order to keep them as part of the DTV "Select" package. These instructions for "Channel Opt-In" were easy to follow and worked: "Existing customers may visit https://www.directv.com/channel-opt-in/ and request to keep A&E in their channel lineup at no additional cost."
Mid-March 2022 I noticed my DTV A&E Channels were no longer available. The "Channel Opt-In" link took me to the correct page; however, the submission process never work (just kept spinning). It's possible it didn't work due to high demand OR because I already completed the Opt-In process.
I called the official support number for DirecTV 1-800-531-5000. I mentioned Channel Opt-In to the virtual attendant which offered to send me a link. I said the link doesn't work and I was routed to a customer service rep with a 1-minute hold. Mark was able to reactivate all four A&E Channels and remained on the line until confirmed they worked. The lines worked and Mark gave me a credit for losing the channels, which was very nice but not really expected. This is an example of great customer service!
