771 and 775
We have had issues with our DirecTV service for months. We constantly receive the 771 and 775 notice. We've spoken to help over the phone and our service only works for a few days. We need a real person to come check on the equipment. We get message on our main hardwired units and our Genies.

Call directv and ask for a service visit. $100 unless you have the protection plan.
The 775 is the real issue here. The 771 is just a side effect.
775 means the dish is not getting power. This is caused by:
a faulty cable/connection between the power inserter and the dish (most likely) Could be a connector at the dish or at the power inserter.
a faulty power inserter (or one with an intermittent power supply)
a problem with the LNB at the dish
You should be able to check the connectors yourself
A directv tech should be able to fix this.
I f you have an HR54 the power inserter is built in. For most other systems its a small box.
