DirectTV on Demand Service (Error Code 927)

I’ve filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against your contracted cable service Optical Communities. Since April of 2021 I’ve been trying to get Error Code 927 resolved resulting in multiple payments of a $65 technician fee with no resolution. During the last visit Optical stated the issue is to big for them to answer and there’s nothing they can do .. this can’t be the case something has to be done! Below I’ll attach one of Optical responses in regards to this issue

This is groundhog day? This complaint is a rehash of the prior complaints. Last Wed (11/24) the Technician went out. The DVR worked/works. On-Demand worked/works. Her video service worked/works. The wireless bridge was not connected. The resident is getting an Error 927 only on one specific OnDemand content (the current season of Teen Mom). However, prior seasons of Teen Mom are available On-Demand. Programmers (content providers) impose IP (intellectual property) safeguards to secure certain content (and dependent upon many factors but usually due to the TV the content is being delivered to). This is beyond the scope of what we control & thus has nothing to do with us. Regardless, she has upgraded to DVR service & thus she could attempt to DVR the current season of Teen Mom as an alternative assuming there is no IP block present? And she has access to the DTV App & thus should could choose to watch the current season of Teen Mom via the DTV App assuming no IP block is present (and cast it to her TV). This also has no relevance to her baseless complaint about the apartment complex being contracted to OC since she has had and currently has access to all services for which her property contracts for.

D*TV Does NOT Control the "CHANNEL" Servers --The owners of the channels provide their own servers and control all content provided for those channels.

the 927 code means that content is not on the server. for that channel

The response from Optical is spot on. They even provided some workarounds to the "Teen Mom" issue. The BBB complaint is baseless.

@Kemani95 the time you're wasting is yours, DIRECTV's, the BBB, Optical Communities, and ours.

It's not too big for Optical to handle, it's not their problem.  The content you want isn't available from the content provider.

Workarounds suggested here ....

Again, your service provider has no control over what OnDemand content the network provides. You're getting that message because what you're looking for simply isn't available. Nothing that DirecTV can do about that. Contact the network directly.
