Are you saying it has a different wifi chipset?

Makes no sense what's the difference between customers with No contract being eligible and BYOD customers not eligible for the Gemini Air?

Only DTV satellite customers can have a contract.

Nope, https://www.directv.com/ they also have internet-under contract customers.
