Headend Receivers

We have a DirecTV Headend through a reseller. We upgraded our headend a few months ago. Our new system uses the same H25-500 as our old system uses. The installer told me the old receivers are no good. That we can't reuse them. Can someone verify this is correct before I get rid of them? We have 56 of them and it seems somewhat wasteful.

Don't think you will get any info here. You need someone in the directv headend group. Try calling here https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/business/hotels/overview

I tried calling them and the lady I spoke with obviously had no idea what I was trying to ask. She forwarded me to the business department and that ended up putting me in an infinite AI auto-attendant loop. I ended up hanging up. I reached out to a gentleman who works for a different DirecTV reseller, and he said yes they are junk, they can't be reused. Now, I am trying to get my reseller to verify this, so I have more documentation. Thanks for the info.

there are different types of H25 for different types of headend system.  guess you could try using one and see what you get.
