Remote #RC73. When trying to pair, i push the mute and enter button, the green light starts continuous flashing and then a red flash, then nothing. suggestions please.

Thanks, but no luck. The remote flashes all the right lights but nothing on the remote works.

fresh batteries. television is a Sony XBR55X850C. DirectTV Genie box
