Remote RC738 does not find LG sound bar code
I bought LG sound bar SP7Y.DUSALLK but the DTV remote does not recognize this model. Even going through the long code search does not work. I want only one remote and normally the genie remote is easy to program… but not without the correct code/model number.
LG does not know since this is a DTV product. Please help!!

Cheap DirecTV remotes don't have commands for Soundbars. You'll need a fancier universal remote, like Logitech Harmony.

I have an LG TV and Soundbar... will that specific remote work for all three? Including the DTV/DVR?

Thank you Faith.
Unfortunately that link does not show me codes for the LG sound bars. Only TVs. Do you have any other suggestions?
I do not want to invest in another type of universal remote that includes sound bars.

You are welcome @67gmail! We understand that you do not want to use multiple remotes and would like to use one remote for everything.
The other workaround we can provide is to check the volume, when you press volume up or down, look at the remote flashing lights. If the TV is lighting up then the remote signal may be going to the TV.
You may want to change the locking to AV1 or AV2, just follow the prompts on setting up your universal remote but try using code 993. Press Select when done.
