Accessing direct tv account on Roku tv

When I access my direct tv app it prompts me to start free trial I already have an account

Thank you for this information. I changed my credentials, deleted the DirectTV app, unplugged the Roku for 30 minutes, restarted it, added the app back to Roku, and. . . everything works just as it should. I had been vexed by this issue for a week!

I have the same exact experience whether trying to access my DirectTV account from Roku or Firestick. I have a DirectTV streaming account through ATT but every sign-in attempt results in my being prompted to sign up for a free trial or to sign out. 

If I do not sign out, then return later to the app, instead of remembering that I have signed it, I am greeting with Welcome, null.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

When did you activate this subscription? Are your login credentials the same for AT&T and DirecTV Stream?

I activated it on 9/14/24 and my credentials are indeed the same for both AT&T and DirectTV Stream.

You need to use separate credentials. Login to the stream account and change the email.
