Blocked login on iPhone
I recently switched from U-verse to DirecTv Streaming.
I had my iPhone set up for U-verse as my tv provider and all of my various apps were able to connect using the tv provider feature. When I went to switch my tv provider on the iPhone to watch something on an app, I had trouble with the password and got a message that too many attempts had locked me out. I waited an hour and tried again - still locked out. Waited several hours - still locked out. Couple days - still locked out. Now it’s been a week - still the same. I don’t want to change my password and have to go to all the devices where I am signed in and change it. I am able to login to my DirecTv Stream account on my tv and on the computer and on the phone through the Safari. Just not on my apps or set up the tv provider on my iPhone due to the error message. How can I resolve this issue? Very frustrating!

So I finally broke down and changed my default password and now I am logging into all of my different devices and the apps are all now allowing me to set them up using the new password.
For anyone that has the same problem, this seems to be the only solution.

We understand that you're having problems to log into the DIRECTV STREAM app using the TV provider feature in your iPhone.
Have you tried deleting the app and installing it again?

So it is not an app that I need to delete and reinstall. I am unable to log onto my DIRECTV Stream on anything on my iPhone other than on the Safari web browser. I believe the problem is that DIRECTV has a security feature that’s triggered by more than a couple of attempts and once it is flagged, any login request that is from that device is flagged and blocked with your friendly message that I have to change my password. I know there has to be a way that DIRECTV could reset this but I believe that they won’t because it would involve someone actually taking the time to research what the device is and manually do it. I believe that I will be forced to change my password on my account and then have to go around and re-login to the DIRECTV on all of my devices which will be a royal pain.
From my reading of many others with this problem, even this may not allow me to login to my DIRECTV Stream account on the many different apps on my phone because it will still see the request coming from my blocked iPhone.
