Can i DIRECTV Stream from home and another location?

Hi, My child recently moved away from college, we currently have Hulu Live and found that she cannot access live or recorded shows in her dorm (she is about 1 hour away from us).  Does Directv Stream have the ability to log in both at home and in her dorm through her Roku device and access Live and recorded shows in both locations?

Yes. You don’t pay for DVR, Whole-Home, or RSN fees just to name a few. Additionally, you won’t pay an additional TV ‘access fee’ for each additional streaming device you have in your home. So, absolutely, yes.

However, check the channel lineup of DIRECTV STREAM. Some channels like NFL are not available on DIRECTV STREAM, while they are on satellite.

Depends on subscription selected, if you have internet, if you have a device, etc. Just not easy to say yes or no. You should visit the website to explore options.

IMO the extra costs of satellite add up quick so stream does end up being a lot cheaper

Then, if the NFL Network is what you desire, then go to YouTube TV.

@detuch254 Either way, DirecTV Stream does not offer either. At least YouTube TV offers both (or will be).

Download the DirecTV App from your iPhone's App Store.

I explained to Salesman at Bee Caves TX store that I had several vacation rentals, and he told me I could get DirectTV Stream at 3 locations.  He failed to mention only 2 tv's outside the home.  He also failed to mention the $140 box.  I feel like I got ripped off!  When I see the ATT March Madness I know it is not all about basketball.

The “$140 box” is actually $120, and it isn’t a requirement - a $30 Roku or FireStick would work fine (albeit without channel numbers).  For a variety of reasons (not just the “out of home” restrictions) a single subscription to the service likely wouldn’t work well for your application.

But you’re not locked in - you can cancel at any time.  If you are within 14 days of subscribing (12 or 13 to be safe) and cancel, you’ll even get your money back. And if you actually bought any of the DirecTV Streaming devices and return them within the same window (carefully follow the directions for returning them) you’ll get a refund for those too.

Box is $120 before sales taxes so $130 and they do require you buy 1 box (used boxes for $50 plus tax).  Box is not needed to stream as you mention.  I explained my situation to salesman, who was also the Reginal manager, and he said I could stream at 3 houses at the same time which is true but misleading as I informed him about each house having a minimum of 4 tv's.

I wanted to confirm that with the Streaming service you can watch on your Home Location as many devices as you want and on a remote location (vacation house) you can watch up to 2 devices and a phone at the same time?   So if at Home 3 people are watching and at the remote location 2 people and a 3rd on the phone can all happen at the same time?
