Care Code 201

Ok. so I was directed here from developer to post a question. I've done this multiple times before as well as many hours on the phone with tech support and multiple "Incident" numbers. Also, waiting multiple days like they asked while it was "Fixed". Well still not fixed and the problem is care code 201 [LU100]. I'm posting this here to see if any reeeeaaallllly good tech from directv stream can contact me and resolve this issue. As this has been going on for over a year wear I cannot login on certain devices without getting care code 201. I have done everything the techs said to do and more. As I am relatively tech savvy. I'm giving this one last chance to see if it can get resolved as I am paying $120 a month for a service I can use correctly. This is the last ditch effort and I am switching to either Youtube Tv or Hulu.

Care Codes are DirecTV Satellite error codes, not DirecTV Stream. What device are you using? First, are you a previous Satellite subscriber? Are you using the same credentials on both services? Do you have linked accounts? These are known issues that can cause the problem.

Usually, this code happens when a Former Satellite customer switches to streaming and they try to use the same login credentials that they had used for the Sat account.   You could try changing your login information to see if that would help.

I have told them that multiple times on tech calls that I was a previous satellite customer using the same login and that went no where the 3-4 times that I offered for them to look into it. They pretty much blew me off like I didn't have a clue even though I've been selling tech for 25+ years.

Sorry, that this has been an issue for you.  This has been a known issue for a while it is surprising that Customer service did not catch that mistake.  If you change your login information that should clear up your login problems.  For some reason when using the same credentials of a former Sat account it confuses the system thinking that you are trying to log in to the old Sat account hence the 201 error code.

Just login to your account and change your email address. You may need to re-install the app. If that does not work, just cancel and sign up again with a new email.
