Data usage

The amount of internet data used for streaming depends on the video quality and the length of the content: 

Standard definition (SD): Uses around 0.7–1 GB of data per hour.

High definition (HD): Uses around 1.5–2.5 GB of data per hour.
Ultra HD (UHD) or 4K: Uses around 7–10 GB of data per hour.

Netflix: Uses around 1 GB of data per hour for standard definition and up to 3GB per hour for HD video.

Disney+: Uses around 2–3 GB of data per hour.

Other factors that can affect data consumption include: The device you're using, network conditions, and the amount of features used by each user. 

You can change your data usage settings to reduce the amount of data you use. For example, Netflix offers four data usage options, including low resolution, which uses 0.3 GB per hour per device. 

You can monitor your data usage by using your internet provider's app or the settings on your router.
