Fox Channel Stream Limit

I have DirecTV Stream and according to the documentation, I should able to watch Fox on 3 different devices.  However, once I am watching any fox station on 1 device, any other device gets the Too Many Streams error.  I spent two hours with support, resetting and answering stupid questions to no avail.  I am using the Stream Device on my main TV and FireStick on other TVs.  I can watch other channels simultaneously, but not any Fox channels.  My Stream Device is on the home network, as that was one of the things I checked.   Regardless of home network, a second TV on Fox shouldn't err.

Anyone have a solution for this?

Hi @BradH69, we're sorry you're getting the Too Many Streams error. Channels that include the 3 stream limitation include Big Ten Network, Fox News, Fox Business, FS1, FS2, Fox Deportes and Fox local channels, STARZ® and NHL Network. For more info about stream limits, check out https://www.directv.com/support/article/000079946 Do you see an error code in the lower right corner of the TV screen?

Thanks for confirming. On your other devices, can you check if they are tuned to one of the channels included in the 3 stream limit list, and if they are, switch before turning them off? Once done, please try again and let us know if it works.

I confirmed already that I am watching on only 1 device.  I've been putting up with this for more than a year and have tried three times with support to get it resolved.  Today's tech even had me reset my wireless router to resolve the issue.  I think he knew it would disconnect the chat though which is why he really had me do that.  I've tested this numerous ways.  I made sure that noone else was connected, turned on Fox, then had someone else connect and turn on Fox and got the error.  Would change channel, and then other connection could turn on Fox.  I have tested this as many ways as possible, this is how I know that only 1 device is connected to Fox.

Maybe I just don't know how to DM?  Where is "there"?

You can find the Private Message/Direct Message (PM/DM) icon (text/speech bubble) on the upper right portion of the page between the notification icon (bell) and directv.com. January, DIRECTV Community Specialist

In case anyone was wondering, I had two FireTV/Stick devices that I hadn't used in Months, in fact I had to log into DTV Stream first when I powered them up.  Once I opened the DTV Stream app and put on a non-fox channel, it freed up my other streams.

Tell me how this makes any sense?  Anyway, there is your fix.  AT&T at its finest!!
