Website works but app wont

Subscribed overnight to DIRECTV stream, new email that has never been used with DIRECTV or ATT.  I can login to the website and stream through the browsers no problem but when I try and log into the app it says error 201 username and password not found and won’t let me login. Talked to support chat 3 times and not one fixes it and then ends the chat.

Is that error "Care Code 201" or just "error 201"? What streaming device are you having issues with?

What device? Care Codes are DirecTV Satellite error codes not DirecTV Stream error codes.

I am using an iPhone and iPad trying to log into the direct tv app. I am definitely not subscribed to the satellite subscription, when I log in to the website it very clearly says DIRECTV STREAM choice subscription

I understand, but Care Codes are DirecTV Satellite error codes. Any changes to the devices like OS updates, etc.? What troubleshooting steps have you tried? Have you tried deleting the provider from Apple's provider list, then adding back?

So there is something wrong with DIRECTV then. I have completely signed out of providers in Apple settings, deleted the app multiple times, clear all cache data on the phone, redownloaded the app, changed the password and still nothing unfortunately

Sorry. Others have had similar issues with Apple's device over the years with the service. Usually these suggestions have resolved the issues. Do you have a linked account with the services using the credentials? This also has caused problems.

No I created a completely new email address just for DIRECTV because I saw on the forums the issues.

Sorry, but I do not have anything else to suggest. Perhaps contact support via Twitter, Facebook, or Reddit to inquire. Perhaps someone else might pop in and suggest something. I wish you luck in resolving the issue.
