Adequacy of WiFi signal

I'm in remote area, have WiFi via Verizon hot spot  which most of the time is adequate for use of computer and smart phone.  Occasionally, however, service is inadequate.  Does DirecTV Stream need stronger signal than that?

There’s a specific upload and download speed needed for optimal streaming. How many streaming devices are you looking to connect, how far away from the router/hotspot will they be, and what current upload and download speeds are you getting? Conduct a test on speedtest.net

2.1 or 21? Where did you take this test from? (What device?)

that speed is nowhere near satisfactory for DIRECTV STREAM or any other live TV service.

Second test conducted on desk top computer (10' from the hotspot) was 3.30 upload and 2.24 download.
