Is the name displayed on the screen of a Samsung smart tv dependent on one's Samsung account? or is it a Direct TV thing? and how do you change it?

Directv app gone overnight from my roku app after years of use. Downloaded it again through the roku app on my Sony TV, but when I click on it, nothing happens. Paying a lot of money for my premium Directv service and now unable to use. AT&T tech support no help - blamed roku. Any suggestions?
