All Gemini Air Lose internet connection
After 8 to 10 hours of no watching my Gemini Airs loses internet connection. They say they are coonected to wireless but have no internet. Av restart of the air is the only fix.
This is happening on all three of my geminis The network is setup properly and the signal is excellent in all areas that the Geminis are in. and there are no issues with any other devices.
Geminis are set DHCP. I am going to statically address one to see if that helps.
I see that a lot of others are experiencing this. Please advise if a fix is forth coming.

You might also try rebooting your WiFi modem/router. Have you always had this issue?

I changed my Gemini Air from DHCP to static 2 months ago with great success. The Air has lost connection only twice in that time and one of the failures was an internet issue (not sure what caused the other failure). Also, I was away from home for more than a week and when I turned the TV on everything started up with no problem, so this "fix" seems to hold in the long run. Please let me know how going static is working for you.

Hi BillyBob, Setting devices to static seems to be working for me as well.
No offense to earlier advice. Advice is always appreciated. I am a network engineer so I am savy in where the issue is coming from and restarting the Wireless Access Points nor router fix the issue. The device itself had to be restarted There is something definitely up with the Airs connectivity over time when not in use.

I keep having the same problem, both Geminis telling me no internet connection but when I go into settings, the connection is strong. I see it is set to DHCP, but didn’t see where I can change it to Static. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have had a similar issue for the last year where it would lose internet connection overnight or after about 4+ hours of inactivity. It started out maybe once or twice a week, now it has gotten much worse in the last month. Every morning would have to cycle power to fix. I found what I believe is a solution related to static IP that others have described, but from the router side which was much easier to implement. If your router has this capability, turn on address reservation for the Gemini air device(s) which will then always connect to the router using the same IP address, even when you use DHCP on the Gemini side. If you have multiple Geminis this will still work, just choose each one for address reservation. No changes on the Gemini side are needed if you continue to use DHCP. Good luck

Your directions below worked perfectly and FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!! Oh, my goodness, you are a life-saver. One extra step that I added was that I also connected the Gemini Air with the static IP address to a 5G Wifi extender. For whatever Magic Internet Wizard reason, I haven't had any issues since. So glad this worked for you. It's a quick, simple fix that anyone can do. Also, what @Paul1234 suggested above will also work. I don't feel comfortable digging into my router so didn't want to advise people to dig into theirs, but for you router savvy folks it's a good way to go.
