Apple TV app remote sensitivity
I have been having extreme difficulty navigating the Directv app on two different Apple TV's. The app responds slowly to remote input, and often decides to move the cursor in completely different directions to what is input on the remote. I have encountered this issue on two different Apple TV units with two different styles of remote (solely touchpad navigation and button navigation) and when using an iPhone as a remote. Is there an app update planned for the future to solve this issue? It takes multiple minutes to search and select a show or movie due to this UI issue.

@DIRECTVhelp This is not an installation or configuration issue, it’s a design/programming issue with the app. Besides this one, there are several more that make the platform nearly unusable on AppleTV.
1) Remote control is extremely sluggish, especially when using the on screen keyboard for searching or entering other information. This causes consistently errant alphanumeric selections unless you literally click the direction button, wait one second and then press again to move the cursor around the keyboard. Super annoying and frustrating.
2) when you first turn the AppleTV on and select the DIRECTV app, the starting screen/menu that comes up is totally unresponsive to the direction controls on the remote. The other buttons work, but you can’t change the selection to anything other than what it was on when the app opened. Click menu to exit and then go back in once or twice and then you can finally navigate around
3) when playing recorded programs from the library (I usually use this for early NFL games that I’d rather watch later in the day), all I can say is wow. Who came up with the fast forward/rewind logic scheme?? Fast forward one click = +30 sec. 2 clicks within ? sec = +90 sec. 3 clicks = +150 sec. 4 clicks = +270. Not sure how far this progresses, that’s as far as I tried. You soon realize that you missed half the quarter. Ok, rewind 1 click = -30, 2 clicks -60, 3 clicks -90…wait where the F*** am I? Forward 1 click +60, 2 = +120, 3 = +180. Any change in the cadence of FF/RW clicks changes the amount of time you move. Are you kidding?? How the (Edited per community guidelines) are we supposed to figure out where we are? I get that the standard app FF/RW time of 10 sec. can be a pain in certain situations, but this is NOT better. Please choose a different strategy.
This needs to be sent to the programming team, not the technical support team. Can you do that please before we all have to cancel our subscriptions to preserve what’s left of our sanity? Thanks for any help you can provide.

We just bundled everything, so we could use Direct TV's streaming plan/option. We thought, at the very least, that the STREAM service would be 'as' good or reliable as ol' Bessie (our Direct TV box & dish of days of yore). Sometimes, I miss my 1st generation Tivo..that says a lot about how crappy pap your interface is, and how brilliant my little Tivo friend was. Direct Tv Stream, do you really (Edited per community guidelines) this much!? I don't think we can unbundle anything for little while. I'd love to know what other bundling (tv/phone/internet) service would NOT (Edited per community guidelines) compared to this nightmare...
