I’m puzzled who promised you such a thing, as DIRECTV STREAM has never had free backlit remotes (or regular remotes for free to begin with). Some remotes are backlit while others aren’t, so it’s a little confusing. If you want to have a DIRECTV STREAM backlit remote without having to pay a whole lot, try online (eBay, Amazon, etc).
