By "beta test receiver" do you mean one of the AT&T streamers (Osprey) distributed about 2 years ago during the beta test? (If so, they aren't "receivers", though that is quibbling.) No - they won't give you anything free of charge. You can buy one from them for the same they charge anyone else - $120 one time fee or $5/month for 24 months. Or you can buy one (probably used) off eBay for less.
Why do you want to trade in the one you have? AFAIK, the hardware (other than the remote) hasn't changed since very early in the beta test.

Hi @Titanrick, we're glad to help.
At the moment the available options to get a different DIRECTV STREAM device would be to purchase a new one. You can get it on installments of $5 during 24 months, if eligible, or at full price for $120.
The beta DIRECTV STREAM device can be used to continue enjoying your current DIRECTV STREAM services or other third party apps with their separate subscriptions.
Please let us know if this helps.
