Bluetooth pairing issues
After initially pairing BT headphones to my Gemini device, I am forced to re-pair for subsequent sessions. This is unlike appletv and others devices which will automatically re-pair when the headphones are powered on. Am I missing a step or is this a ridiculous design flaw? Thanks in advance!

Hi @Kessrjs. Our goal is that you can fully enjoy all the features of the Gemini Air. To fix this issue, you can try resetting your device. Once you have reset your device, go to Menu > System > Remotes & Devices on your TV. At the bottom of the screen, it will search for Bluetooth devices trying to pair. Your device will show on the screen, and you can select Connect. It will immediately remove audio from the TV, and it will be playing through the headphones. Need more help? Send us a DM, our Social Care team is ready to help. Kharl, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Thanks Kharl
However I feel I shouldn’t have to walk through the menu structure to reconnect the headphones after initial pairing. In fact, I have to actually re-pair the headphones for each use!

We're sorry about walking you through, but thank you for letting us know. We don't want you to re-pair your BT headset each time you use it, so we'll forward it to our team, so they can review and determine the next steps. DIRECTV appreciates you. John, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I'm having a same issue with my soundbar. It doesn't automatically connect anymore and I have to unpair and pair it every time I turn my tv on. 🙄

So far, no solution offered or discovered! Same scenario with 3 different BT headphones including Apple’s best! If a solution is found, I will post back here.

Are you doing it from settings....remotes/devices....add Bluetooth?

Same issue with 2 different sets of Bluetooth headphones. Ihip and qaekie brands. Set to pairing, Gemini air just keeps searching, never finds them. I will buy a brand that works. Anyone recommend a brand that is successful. I don’t want to buy any and do a trial and error method

Buy the prior generation gemeni AT&T C71KW-400 Direct TV NOW Streaming Box Osprey Android TV OTT Box Player which Includes Remote & Power Adapter at $40.99 and bluetooth sets up flawlessly. Also the prior generation can use either wifi or ethernet. It comes with the exact remote control as the gemeni air. I have two of these. I had two gemeni air and neither one could connect to two different bluetooth headsets, but the foregoing prior generation does.

DirectTV please update the app to allow bluetooth speakers to connect again. It used to work and stopped earlier this year. I've done the resets, replaced my speaker and the DirectTV stream box and it still doesn't work. This was such an awesome feature and the main reason I liked the switch from Xfinity. Please fix before the NFL season ends. 😟
