Can you use DIRECTV STREAM on xbox one?
I'm thinking about getting DIRECTV STREAM but I was wondering if there's an app for xbox one?

Good afternoon @St0314,
Currently, the XBOX ONE is not a compatible device with DIRECTV STREAM.
You can find a list of all the compatible devices on this page. Please reach back out if there's anything else we may assist you with, we'd be happy to help!

Why is it so hard for DirecTV to code an app for Windows or XBOX platforms? I don't understand it.

I would love to see them fix issues on their main platforms before expanding to XBox. And DirecTV Stream works perfectly well in most web browsers, so no need for a separate Windows Application.

I dont understand why you dont get a streaming device instead of a gaming box. Is it hard to understand the dfference and purpose of the device..

Bcbsncjlj, it’s because some of us already have an Xbox and don’t want to have to buy a separate device just for this when most of the other streaming companies have no issues making apps for it. The Xbox is not just a gaming console anymore. Get with the times….

The key here is “isn’t supported.” It’s not that it isn’t capable. It’s actually overly capable. Not to mention the other many, many other streaming apps that can be loaded on it. It’s just not something DIRECTV seems interested in supporting. They just don’t want to develop for any Microsoft platform. Yet they will for a streaming stick that can barely run the app.

Oh I agree. The point still is "its not supported". You may be able to sideload - I donn't know but i would not look for an app in the near future. They are having enough issues supporting the devices that they say they support.
