Can’t log into direct tv stream app care code 902

Every time I tried to log into the DIRECTV stream app. It gives me care code 902 which I’ve read has something to do with the Wi-Fi but the Wi-Fi is good. Everything else is working and letting me login. It’s just this app in particular. I’ve tried deleting it and re-downloading it. I don’t know what else to do not to mention. I am trying out the free trial to see if if this is something I want to use instead of all of the other services I’m using so this isn’t A good start

What is your current service? If you are using DirecTV satellite and trying to sign on with your satellite credentials, it will not work. You need to create a new account.

Were you ever a Directv Sat. customer or an AT&T customer?  If you were you need to make sure that your login info is different using a different email as it can confuse the system and can give you the 902 code.  Hope this helps.

"Care Codes" are DirecTV error codes, not DirecTV Stream errors. Follow previous post remarks about using the same credentials within the services.

As mentioned in OP I literally just made a direct TV account maybe 30/45 mins before this post. But it kept coming up WiFi/connection issues under posts and via google. I was able to finally get in by signing into direct tv thru Apple TV

But, as mentioned, the error is not a DirecTV Stream error but a DirecTV satellite error. We need to know if you have been a previous DirecTV subscriber or AT&T subscriber, using the same login credentials?

I was ready to throw my phone, Roku remote and tv out the window after repeatedly getting the care code 902 error. I’m a DirecTV satellite customer who just got rid of a bunch of genie boxes after getting the DirecTV app on our smart TVs. I had just reset my DirecTV password in the app on my phone, because apparently it had expired. I got the care code 902 there first. Researching the issue revealed mention of a wifi issue, so all I did was turn off wifi on my phone to switch over to cellular data. Logging into the DirecTV app again proved successful, and then I turned wifi back on and it continued to work closing and reopening the DirecTV app. So then I go back to my Roku on my tv and try to open the DirecTV app, and of course I need to sign in again since I changed the password through the app on my phone. Fine. I enter the password and the same care code 902. It’s really frustrating this time, because I only have one internet option (or so I thought). Hopefully you can choose your phone as a hotspot if you don’t have another internet option to select. I had to switch the wifi on my Roku to another internet option and login to the DirecTV app again, and voila. No more care code 902. Then I was able to switch back to the wifi I had originally been using on Roku, and the DirecTV app worked perfectly fine when I reopened it. Seems like something was getting cached. So annoying. Hope this helps someone else who is pulling their hair out like I was!

No idea. The service is just a mess with the services consolidated into 1 app now.

Your comment saved my sanity.  I was on the phone with ATT for over an hour while they tried to fix my situation of not being able to log into my ATT, Direct TV and my ATT internet.  As I was on the phone I started googling my problem and ran across your tips and they worked.  I referred them to your helpful tips so now they will know how to help the next customer with the same problem.  I'm still unsure how I will get my email to work on my computer other than using my hotspot for internet but I will jump off that bridge tomorrow.
