Care Code 205.4

When I log in I get this error along with a msg: Hmmm… That isn’t the ID you set up for this service. Try signing in with another ID. Care Code: 205.4 

I called and spoke with 6 different people. They all asked me to reset the box which didn’t work every single time. I was on hold waiting and being transferred for a whole hour. I explained to the agents that I’ve used my email address on directtv now streaming services I believe back in 2018, so maybe that could be the issue. They couldn’t help me and the last rep I spoke with in tech support told me that she’ll send a replacement since I’m able to log in online and in the app. 

Does anyone know why this is happening? I’ve reset my password like 7 times now. Lol any tips would be helpful.

Hi, 

I’m not able to find the message. I noticed that when I try to log in online it gives me the same error on the TV. However, when I log in thru the app & my Att.com account everything goes through. I’ve tried everything. Please help.

@Bethygurl21 what service do you have? DIRECTV satellite or DIRECTV STREAM? And did you verify that you signed in on the correct website for that service? Usually, this error shows because you attempted to sign in on the wrong website (or service.) For example, instead of going to directv.com to login, you went to the Uverse website.

Use a new email for your Dtv Stream account.

@detuch254 i have directtv stream. It’s a log in issue thru directtv.com and logging in thru my device connected to my tv.

@Bethygurl21 at this point, you’ll need to call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and say to the robot that the service you are calling about is DIRECTV STREAM, not JUST DIRECTV. The agent should be able to get your login credentials active again.
