Cloud DVR with DirecTV Stream box

When attempting to record a  show I get an "Unavailable Now" or "Something went wrong" message.

My DirecTV Stream box is connected to the network via an Ethernet Cable. I do not think this should affect Cloud DVR recording. Is it necessary to be on WiFi?

I just signed up (and paid) for DirecTV Stream 2 days ago and received the box yesterday @ noon.

I understand there is a Trial Period. Is Cloud DVR not available during the trial period?

Have you attempted on another streaming device like your phone, tablet, PC, etc to see if the issue is your device or the service? The recording to cloud DVR is working for me.

Hello. Thanks for contacting us. We're here to help you with your recording inquiry. You can use DIRECTV STREAM either with Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The main idea of our free trial is for you to have the whole experience with DIRECTV. You'll be able to record during this period.

The two messages that appear on your screen while trying to record could be a setting issue. Please follow the steps on the next link to set up your device and be sure all the services are active: https://www.directv.com/support/stream/article/KM1353532/ LeonorA DIRECTV Social Media Specialist.

This can happen if you try to record from a local station that's not actually at your "home address" location. What streaming device are you using? Where is it located? Does your billing address match your actual location?

@MLites2023, by any chance, has your account been updated lately? If yes, this might be one of the contributors - e.g., people move and switch billing zip codes/DMAs and take, I think, a couple of days for that to properly reflect. I'd suggest that you give it another try.
