Code 0018 New Firestick

Are you sure u are installing the stream app and not the dtv satellite app? Did you used to be a satellite customer?

Definitely direct stream. We have two other tvs in house with the same app and no problem.

Did you try to restart the firestick? What are the devices on your other 2 tv's?

All fire sticks. This one is a 2021 version brand new.

And yes, have restarted many times.

All I can find about "Code 0018" references DirecTV not DirecTV Stream. Curious are you a previous DirecTV subscriber? Using the same credentials?

Yes. There is no download option for directv. Just stream. The stream app is working and loaded on two other fire sticks in our home. 

Yes on same credentials? Been a lot of issues with various devices and models with users using the same credentials and link accounts. If its true you might change the credentials and unlink accounts.

I also asked if @Kate1421ss  was a previous Directv Satellite customer. Didn't get an answer. Would be easier to help people if they read replies and answered them without having to be asked 2 or more times. You can't use the same email (user id) for both services. Also--initially she said she could view on a phone and didn't mention the other 2 tv's with firesticks.

Was a previous att customer. App changed over I think last year. Why do the other two fire sticks with direct stream with the same sign on work with no problem, but when I try to install app on new firestick, I get the error code 0018. 

No idea except maybe the code for the newer models a little different in execution. Many reports though of the similar issue.
