Direct stream tv device
I currently get direct tv stream and watch it thru my Apple TV with the direct stream app.
I just received the direct stream device. Do I need to remove the direct stream app from my Apple TV prior to setting up the direct stream device ?

No - all streaming devices are independent. You can use both at the same time (well, on different TVs) if you like.
