Direct TV remote does not turn off Sony TV
I preformed the update that was requested by Direct TV. Since that happened, my remote does not turn the Sony sound bar or TV off. All other buttons work as they should. I have changed batteries, reset the remote to the TV, but the problem is not fixed.
is there a fix to 1. Remove the update. 2. Apply a patch to fix the update. 3. Wipe the remote to return to factory standard.

Go into settings--remotes/devices......then toggle on "power off devices"

Thanks for the response. The “power off” does not appear in my menu. Any other thoughts?

Thanks for your help. I found why I could not access the “power off devices”. Some how the “remote programming” toggle had been selected to “off”. I turned it on and the “power off devices” activated. I did, however have to reprogram my TV and Sound Bar under “Devices” as they had been removed. Everything works now.
