Direct TV Stream- missing TV function

I would assume you have a Directv Streaming Box and remote if this is the case if you go into the settings and into the Remote & Devices and go to program your remote and turn Remote programming to OFF then turn it back to ON.  It should then say it is programming your remote and hopefully fix your input button issue. Hope this helps you.

Thank you for your suggestion.  Unfortunately, that did not solve the problem.

@dgm1941  This may sound strange but try putting new batteries in your remote if that does not fix it then there could possibly be something wrong with your remote or it just is not compatible to use it to change the input on your tv.  If you have another Directv box you could try connecting that remote to your TV to see if you have the same results.

The cheap DirecTV remotes simply can't control every function of every TV.  A much better remote is Logitech Harmony. 

@dgm1941  Did your remote ever control the input for your TV?  Just wondering because mine stopped working today for my input and I had to reprogram my remote so that it would work again.  So if your remote worked for that function and then stopped working I could walk you through reprograming your remote.  Let me know!
