Directv Stream device tries to connect to wrong HDMI input

Recently purchase refurbished Directv Stream device for use on LG OLED48C1.  Originally attached to HDMI 1 input.  Moved the connection to HDMI 4 due to some cabling Issues.  There are no devices connected to HDMI 1 and LG Dashboard reflects that status.

When I power on the Stream device it tries to connect to HDMI 1 and I have to manually connect to HDMI 4.  Frustrating to have to go through the extra step.  I have not been able to find any setting on the Stream device or on LG that would cause this.  Would appreciate any suggestions on how to get Steam device to connect to correct HDMI input.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Anynet+ HDMI-CEC is off

This Samsung set is from ~2012 (Last firmware update 2011, so none of the interesting stuff in newer models.

Just noticed that it seems the DTVStream remote is sending the command to switch inputs.  The two small leds at the top of the remote flash when I push the power button to turn everything on, then 5-7 seconds later, flash again.  This is when the input changes from whatever it was on to HDMI2.

Still investigating.....

Turn on Anynet-hdmi-cec. That automatically detects devices when you use them/turn them on and switches inputs.

The only time the Dtv Stream remote changes inputs is when you hit the input button. U might try changing the batteries in the remote. Nothing in the Dtv Stream box settings has which hdmi input the box is on so maybe the remote is malfunctioning b/c of batteries

 Anynet-hdmi-cec was no help.

It's the remote sending an IR command to switch inputs.  If I physically block the IR port after the box and TV turn on, it stays on HDMI1.

Un-pairing and re-pairing the remote was no help.   Toggling the Remote programming off and back on was no help either.

And you changed batteries? If so--might be a defective remote. U can get a new one from amazon for 13-15 dollars if you want to try that route.

Last thing I tried was programing the remote for another brand of TV and then back to Samsung.

This seems to have fixed it.  It no longer sends the IR command to switch inputs.

We'll see if it sticks.

2 Separate remotes (already bought the spare) ~2 months old, both did the same thing.

As stated in the last message, re-programming for a different brand of set and then back to Samsung seems to have cleared the Input Change IR Command.
