Does DirecTV Stream box support IP control or CEC control
I am interest in controlling my DirecTV stream box with my home automation system. Does a Stream box support either HDMI CEC or IP Control. If either is supported where might I find documentation?

It appears to have some CEC features, but exactly what is supported is unclear, and there is no documentation. The device doesn't support IP. For some purposes, it can act as an HA controller (via the supplied remote, it provides Google Assistant), but it can't be a target. However, the device supports IR commands using the DirecTV codeset, so you could (in theory, at least) control it with an HA system that could drive those command codes to an IR blaster.

Thank you. Sounds like I will have to do some experimentation. :) Can you share anything you have learned about what is enabled in CEC and/or codes? I am currently using IR with Crestron Home and the HR24 remote emulation. Is this what you have found to work best? With the Genies, I am replacing I used RC65X emulation.
Thank you again
