Gemini air input button not working with Insignia smart TV

Anyone have a solution to the gemini air remote not being able to control the input on an Insignia smart TV? Contacted Directv and they said the remote only works with a few tv's.

thanks

It's more than a few TVs. Have you programmed your TV brand in the remotes/devices area in settings? Insignia is there. Try both the manual and standard option

Hi @ahardb0dy, when your remote is programmed with the TV, you can change the input on the TV, but if the remote control cannot be programmed with the TV, it can only be used with the Gemini Air. Therefore, you'll need to use your TV remote to change the input.  Learn how to program your Gemini remote control, visit How to program your DIRECTV remote control | DIRECTV Support

I did program the remote for the TV, the power on/off and volume and channel buttons all work, just the input button does not.

I tried both the manual and the standard options.

Thank you for sharing. Could you please tell us what procedure you wish to initiate by using the input button, so we can determine the next step? Lynie, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I just wanted to try to get the input button to work since everything else does.

It's not a big deal if it doesn't I can still use the TV remote to switch inputs.

When you do the option that asks if your volume is going up and down---don't say yes-----say no so that it moves on to the next one. Then say yes the next time the volume goes up/down. That's what I had to do with my Hisense. Just trick it so it goes on to the next code. That should eventually work.

I tried that last night, may have to go to further codes, still not working, thanks for the tip.
