Gemini causing Sony Bravia TV to reboot -- a solution

My Sony Bravia TV reboots when it's turned on with the Gemini remote.  One cannot prevent the Gemini remote from syncing with the TV during Gemini setup, as the setup won't continue unless the syncing is complete.

Solution:  But one can turn the sync off from the TV end. 

What to do:  On the TV,

1.  Go into Settings -- External Inputs -- Bravia Sync Settings

2.  Turn off Bravia Sync Control (This also turns off the other two switches.).

Result:  The TV won't reboot now. 

Drawback: The two remotes are now completely unsynced so one need to operate the TV and Gemini with their respective remote.
